ABOUT THE FRUGAL HUGEL GARDENER

Gardening is my Hobby Gardening is My Life.

I’m 100% dependent upon what I grow as my main food source.

I sometimes barter with other local farmers for eggs and other, and give crops away to friends, neighbors, homeless and charities

I’m 99% vegetarian that depends on my garden and edible landscaping as my food source. I also eat some fish and poultry.

You see lots of people talking about a edible landscape (or permaculture).

Although my permaculture, food forest and landscaping is 100% edible, it is ALL fruiting plants that I like the taste of and enjoy eating. Not all edible plants taste good to me, so I am very selective when growing, after all I am the one eating them.

So when looking for edible plants, ask how it tastes, or better yet, taste before you grow. You will enjoy and appreciate your edible landscaping much better this way.

Next ask how it will grow in your area and zone. Because not all plants will grow good in the wrong zone or climate. Do you have dry land or wet land? Etc.

Now matter what your situation, you would be much better off growing your own food.
